Sweet Dreams, Beautiful Nightmares

“Sweet Dreams and Beautiful Nightmares”

In the “Sweet Dreams and Beautiful Nightmares” collection,  we wanted to immerse our viewers into the bittersweet nuances of nostalgia. Through curated elements from the 1920’s and 70s, such as makeup and fashion adorned with vibrant colors and feathers, we intend to evoke a deep and palpable sense of nostalgia, transcending mere imagery and resonating with the very essence of our audience's memories.

We explored the sweet side of nostalgia, portraying moments of gentleness and a childlike innocence.

In Concept One of “Sweet Dreams and Beautiful Nightmares”, we delved into the softer, gentler facets of nostalgia. We wanted to explore the sweet side of nostalgia, portraying moments of gentleness and a childlike innocence. Through these shots with Caitlin, we aimed to encapsulate the beauty of nostalgia, illustrating its ability to wrap us in a warm, comforting embrace. The subtle play of light and feathers enhances the poignancy of these moments, and brings you into a dream, inviting viewers to indulge in the sweetness of their own cherished memories.

In stark contrast, Concept Two delved into the darker, more haunting tones of nostalgia. This concept aimed to unearth the raw and traumatic aspects of nostalgia, capturing the nightmares that sometimes accompany our deepest memories. Through bold imagery and striking contrasts, we wanted to depict the unsettling side of nostalgia, exploring the depths of suppressed emotions and forgotten fears. The visuals are intense and impactful, inviting viewers to confront the darker shades of their past.

Our memories often feel like ethereal dreams, especially when shrouded in the mists of time or buried in the recesses of our minds

This shoot was choreographed as a surreal fever dream, blurring the lines between reality and imagination. This dream sequence is a symbolic representation of how our past memories often feel like ethereal dreams, especially when shrouded in the mists of time or buried in the recesses of our minds. The dreamlike ambiance further enhances the emotional tone of our narrative, allowing you to connect with your own memories in a profoundly visceral way.
